If you don’t already know who I am, I was the former Vice President of Futures trading at JP Morgan from 2006 to 2013. I ran the Futures trading desk at Cargill from 2002 to 2005, the largest privately held corporation in the United States and accounts for 25% of all the United States grain exports. It is a massive commodity trading company. I was a licensed Eurex Trader at Commerzbank, one of Germany’s biggest banks, and ran their off the floor Futures trading desk from 1997 to 2001. I started my trading career on the CME floor with Dean Witter in 1994.
I hated getting to office at 5am or working all night trading an overseas. For almost 8 years I traded from 10pm until 9am Chicago time – that was the Asian session, European session and US morning. I felt like I woke up one day and wondering where the last 10 years of my life went. I didn't have the freedom because I was a slave to the bank. I would be in the elevator on the way up to the 18th floor in the morning and would bang the wall and say "I hate this, I
hate this, I hate this." After all it was work.
When I left JP Morgan, I knew I was a decent trader, but being a trader at a big bank where you have access to all the information on any market in any form you can imagine. I was unsure if I could translate my order flow analysis as an institutional side to the retail side. Trading a big account with money that is not your own is completely different than trading an account that is tied directly to your lifestyle, to your net worth, to your kids education.
A lot of the order flow software out there, including the ones currently selling for $3500 and $5000, do not analyze the order flow. Which for most traders is kind of a waste of money. An order flow chart allows a trader to explore the inner workings of a bar as it forms, it allows the trader to look inside the bar at the constant struggle between buyers and sellers.
I have been trading with order flow for most of my career even before the volume footprint chart was created. When the volume footprint chart was created it really changed a lot of trader’s lives. Traders that were break even traders were now able to take more profitable trades, traders were able to finally understand the market.
An order flow chart has a wealth of information that is the key to understanding the market and when I see these other order flow software webinars out there start talking about having to use other traditional indicators like pivot points or moving averages, its like taking a step backwards.
I created the Orderflows Trader software based on my 20 years of trading at the institutional level. Moving in and out of small, medium and extremely large positions. This is real life trading experience not data mined, back tested ideas that are curve fitted to the best results. Its real world applications of trading.
So register now and I look forward to seeing you on the inside!
